Weekend & outstation rides

Meetup rides live here. The bigger rides — weekend, outstation and the long ones — are on the rides page, each with its dates and how to join.

Next long weekend ride: Delhi to Mukteshwar, 1–4 October 2026 — a long weekend in the hills of Nainital district. Details and how to join are on the rides page.

Why start here

Start easy

Riding into a new group for the first time can feel like a lot — you do not know the people, the pace, or how they run things on the road. A meetup ride takes that pressure off. It is short, it is slow, and it ends with everyone together, not on the move. By the time the evening wraps up you will know most of the group by name and know exactly how a ROAR ride works.

There is a briefing before we roll, a lead rider and a sweep rider on the road, and turns marked all the way so you never have to guess. Come on any road-legal motorcycle in good health, and come fully geared — a certified helmet is non-negotiable, gloves strongly recommended, a jacket if you own one. That is the one rule we will not bend on.

This is a public, evening meetup — a comfortable first point of contact whether you are brand new to group riding, riding solo, or a woman rider deciding whether this group is right for you. Come, meet everyone, ask anything, and bring a friend if that is easier.

Before we ride home we take the ROAR nature pledge together. On longer rides there is a full service action; on a meetup ride the focus is simply meeting each other and getting the habits right — but you will leave understanding what Roaring for Nature means in practice.

The plan for the evening

How the meetup ride runs

The meetup ride is the easiest way in — short, slow, and finished by mid-evening. Every ROAR ride runs to the same shape, whether it is an evening loop or a weekend away. This is that shape.

  1. Assemble & gear check

Gather at the roll-out point shared on WhatsApp for a quick round of introductions and a check that everyone is properly geared before engines start.

  2. Briefing

The route, the pace, the fuel stop, the hand signals, and where the lead and sweep riders will be. Two minutes that make the next two hours run smoothly.

  3. Ride to the meet point

An easy run in staggered formation to India Gate C-Hexagon. Turns marked, gaps kept, nobody rushed.

  4. Meet & the pledge

Chai, snacks, talk bikes, meet the people you just rode with, and take the ROAR nature pledge together before we head back out.

  5. Loop home

A relaxed loop back, a final regroup and headcount, and that is the ride. You get your certificate on the day.

Come prepared

What to bring

  • A certified helmet — non-negotiable, no exceptions
  • Riding gloves; a riding jacket if you own one
  • Valid driving licence and your motorcycle's papers
  • A full fuel tank at the start point
  • A reusable water bottle — we are not handing out plastic
  • A small bag for any litter we pick up on the way
  • A basic bike check the night before: tyres, brakes, lights, chain, horn

The ROAR nature pledge

"I ride for the road and I ride for what lives beside it. I will leave every place I ride through cleaner than I found it, give way to the wild, look out for the strays, and put something back — because we are Roaring for Nature."
